Program Dates and Deadlines

Below are the dates and deadlines for Summer 2025. All dates are unique to the course section letter.

2025 Deadlines

Last day to apply May 18, 2025 June 28, 2025
Payment deadline May 27, 2025 July 7, 2025
Classes begin May 27, 2025 July 7, 2025
Last day to drop course 
and receive a 100% refund		 May 28, 2025 July 8, 2025


Rutgers reserves the right to change, without notice, any statement on this website concerning, but not limited to, rules, policies, fees, programs, and courses. The University also reserves the right to restrict registration in any course offered or to cancel courses, as necessary.

Withdrawal Deadlines

After the add/drop period ends, Summer Scholars students can only withdrawal from courses.

A "W" will be applied to a student's Rutgers transcript during the withdrawal period, but it does not impact your grade point average (GPA).

Additional Notes

- Please check course dates carefully to avoid conflict.

- Courses running during Summer Session I may overlap with your school’s academic year. It is recommended that applicants consult their school counselor prior to applying for Session I courses.

- Classes will not meet Friday, June 21 in observance of Juneteenth and Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
