New Students

Net ID & Email

In order to access many of the electronic services available to summer students, you must activate your NetID.

Rutgers Photo ID

Gain access to Rutgers services and facilities during summer with a Rutgers ID card.

The Rutgers Writing Center provides free tutoring support to students who need help with a writing assignment for any summer course.

Important Resources


One Stop Student Services Center

For assistance in the areas of financial aid, registrar, and student accounting, students may contact a Student Services Advisor through the One Stop Student Services Center.

Student Accounting, Billing, and Cashier Services

View and pay your summer bill, sign up for a payment plan, or (if you are eligible for a refund) learn about your refund check on the Student Accounting, Billing, and Cashier Services website.

Parking Permits

Students or parents parking on campus during the summer are required to have a permit. Permits can be purchased through Department of Transportation Services.

Rutgers Health Services

Summer students are eligible for various health services.

Disability Services for Students

Summer students with disabilities who may need accommodations should contact the Office of Disability Services prior to registration.

Protection of Minors

The University has adopted a Protection of Minors Policy to promote the well-being and safety of minors who participate in programs or activities run by or associated with Rutgers. The policy includes requirements relating to reporting suspected abuse or neglect of minors, completing relevant online training, and undergoing background checks for Authorized Adults and people in Direct Contact Positions as defined by the policy. Non-University organizations that wish to operate programs or activities involving minors on RU campuses must ensure their programs are run consistent with the guidelines of the University’s Protection of Minors Policy and the Guide to Working with Minors.
